Fantastic food, ambience and staff...A must stop when traveling 101.

Went in on a Wednesday night and staff was nice enough but service was unacceptably slow. My wife and i watched table after table come in after us and get their dinner before we even had a salad. A few bites into the salad the dinners came out. Chicken fried steak was fine but nothing to write home about.

Excellent, a real country breakfast. Fresh eggs,sweet buttermilk pancakes,awesome benedicts. One benedict the "Ridge top Benedict instead of sausage gravy and patty they used a ground beef patty and gravy. Out of this world. Pancakes light and that real sweet buttermilk flavor.If you are in the area stop by and say hi! To Jennifer(the owner) and her crew, nicest people you could meet.

We barely walked in the door and walked right back out because of the rude service. We had walked into the door and the server stopped over 10 feet away and yelled, "Excuse me! I'm trying to serve!" The sign said, "Thank you for supporting local business!" but it's hard to do that when you're made to feel like a burden and inconvenience simply by being there, even when you're complying with all posted signs of "Please wear a mask. Please maintain a safe distance. Please wait to be seated." Our first encounter with an employee should not be obvious frustration and better service is to be expected.

Exceptional. Delicious. Home fried chicken sandwich, strong coffee and kind service. Fresh food even a half hour before closing. Best coleslaw I've had between here and Florida.

Friendly, quick service and delicious food! Everything was perfectly cooked and waitstaff was very attentive but not overbearing. Decor is fun and very Ferndale. The actual building is rustic, beautiful and huge, but feels homey and comfortable. Portions are generous and coffee tastes like really top notch brew. Based on the Ridgetop Benedict I would also buy their beef, which they sell in house. Great place and plenty of space to bring a whole group on the way to Ferndale or don't mind a very short trip from the Loleta Cheese Factory

Owners are awesome, they may not be able to spell not-so-common names (as mentioned in a previous bad review by some PMS-ing lady) but the food is great, service is impeccable, and best of all they always give you free jerky!! Love this place!!

I've probably had breakfast here more than I should. My family has made this a weekly thing, and for good reason. The food is great, environment is great, and its kid friendly.

Best breakfast I ever had. Not bluffing either. Originally from Argentina been in the U.S for over 15 years, have travelled all over the country, nothing came even close to the Steak, eggs and potatoes I had at the Ridge Top. Top notch beef, fresh farm eggs, friendly service... this is the place to beat and I don't think is going to happen anytime soon if ever. Reasonable priced to boot.

The coffee is great. Sausage is deliciously seasoned. Kids had pancakes (generous portions) and they brought out warmed maple syrup. This place is great.

Been several times and always good! Love introducing new people to this place. Everyone is friendly and if you're lucky, one of the owners will share her knowledge about their locally produced meats and even give you samples! I love the eggs Benedict, only available on weekends, perfectly cooked eggs and excellent sauce. They make really good mochas, too.

Soda was flat and warm, tasted old. Hamburger and French fries were flavorless. Not impressed. Won't go back.

Called in for a to go order. The woman on the phone was not only very unpleasant, but was not able to spell the name for the order. To make it easier on her, we decided to try and use a common nickname. After going back and forth with her for some time, we collectively decided it may be better to go somewhere else. When we let the woman on the phone know, she began yelling at us and saying that she couldn’t believe we were canceling the order. I’m sorry, but if you can’t take down our name or phone number properly I am not confident that we would actually receive the food we ordered and we have dietary restrictions to boot. I would suggest having a conversation about the professionalism of your employees, especially ones that are dealing with the public directly. I’m not spending my hard earned money somewhere that clearly has a mentally unstable employee who snaps for no reason

Did not get a chance to try the food but my mocha I ordered lacked a coffee of cocoa taste. Just tasted like milk with flavoring

Loved this little spot. Stopped for some bloody Mary's while we waited for the Kinetic Sculptures to go by.Owners were very friendly and helpful.The restaurant was pretty busy.Next time we'll stay for lunch!

The best breakfast in Humboldt County, by a long shot! Love these ladies and their delightful cafe. Try the ground beef hash if your prepared to see what breakfast can really be!

Extremely delicious food. Comfortable atmosphere and friendly waitresses. The sausage links are house made and sooo good. Biscuits are good too, I was surprised that it came toasted but I preferred it that way. Local eggs and beef also. Wish I would have gotten a cookie for later but I was so full!

Pleasant country atmosphere, great for kids, groups or couples. The food is good and are large servings. The fries aren't very thick, but the coffee keeps coming and the staff is very nice.

This is a must for anyone near Ferndale. This place is easy access, plenty of room inside for small or large party, and the food and service are absolutely excellent!! Coffee is freshly brewed from Humboldt Coffee Company - it's fantastic.

Quality ingredients, but the food is bland, espresso undrinkable.

Drove by on our way to a hike in the redwoods and couldn’t believe how good their food and lattes were. Can’t say enough good things about this place. I would have added photos but we are our food too fast

Amazing food with even more amazing people. Everyone was super great with my baby niece and even had us sign her name on their measuring wall. Definitely going to keep going back!
